TREMORS

Jean Oh is a New York–based artist working across textile installation and sewn painting. Her practice explores imperfection, instability, and the tension between concealment and revelation through sustained material processes that combine sewing, painting, and drawing.

Using Nobang, a translucent Korean silk traditionally used in hanbok, she creates suspended installations that respond to light, air, and viewer movement. Through layering and stitching, she constructs spatial environments where seams, wrinkles, and structural adjustments remain visible as part of the work. As viewers move through the installation, shifting light and transparency continually transform what is revealed and concealed.
